Will pressure washing damage my siding or paint?
It can, if the wrong method is used. That is why siding, soffits, stucco, and painted surfaces get a soft wash at low pressure rather than a high pressure blast. Full pressure is for concrete.
What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing removes dirt with force. Soft washing removes it with a cleaning solution at low pressure. Soft washing is the correct choice on any surface that water can be driven behind or that force can strip.
What happens to my plants and landscaping?
Beds get soaked with plain water first and rinsed again afterward. Wet foliage dilutes anything that reaches it, which is what keeps the landscaping fine.
How long will the results last?
It depends on shade, tree cover, and which direction the wall faces. North facing walls under trees pick growth back up fastest. A soft wash lasts longer than a plain rinse because it treats the algae rather than just knocking it off.
